I heart these bracelets.  I love the bright colors. I would pair the orange and green ones with my white watch.

Beret Forever 21 – $8.80

One of the trends that I am the most excited about for Fall 2008 is the beret.

I love wearing hats because they add an element of mystery to my everyday style. A trendy hat is also an inexpensive way to update my wardrobe for the season.

H&M 80’s Inspired Tee – $14.00

H&M Polo Shirt – $15.00

H&M White Sunglasses – $7.80

H&M Aviators $7.80

It was my brother’s Bday a month ago and my family finally had the chance to get together last weekend for birthday celebrations and Father’s Day.

My brother just graduated from college and has limited money to spend on clothes. For his Bday, I thought that I would get him some trendier pieces from H&M to wear outside work. I was kinda nervous buying him a purple shirt and 80s inspired tee, but he really liked them. I knew he would like the glasses – he has always been kind of a ham.

Urban Outfitters Flight Pattern Silk Scarf – $28.00

Urban Outfitters Square Printed Scarf – $20.00

Urban Outfitters Crosshatch Shawl – $19.99

It seems like June Gloom has come early this year to So Cal. I can’t think of a better way fight the urge to curl up under a blanket than with a new budget accessory – the warm weather scarf. These scarves are made of lighter material than winter scarves which makes them perfect for gloomy spring days and warm summer nights.

The look for Spring/Summer 2008 is achieved by draping a long and wide scarf around your head and so it falls to your ideal length. Here are some of my favorite budget scarves from Urban Outfitters.

I have loved Rachel Bilson’s style ever since she made she debut as Summer Rogers in The O.C. One of my favorite things about her sense of style is her use of accessories. She makes great use of handbags, sunglasses, hats, and belts.

Orchid Hair Clip – $14.00

Okay, okay I know that florals are a cliche for spring. But warm weather combined with a breezy summer dress and a flower in my hair just makes me relax and feel like all is right with the world. The umbrella garnished cocktail that usually accompanies this outfit might have something to do with this euphoric feeling…but who’s counting?

My love for flower hair clips began in college. There’s a store in Santa Barbara called a Tropical Affair and they carry the cutest hand-made flower hair clips. These clips ranged from $30-$50 and were totally out of my college budget. I wanted one so much that one day, I decided to test out my hot glue skills and attempt to replicate one. The result was a sticky glitter mess and brunt fingers.

Now that I am older and much wiser, I simply did Google search and found this totally cute flower hair clip for only $14.00 – which is a much better price than the Tropical Affair clips and did not result in any injuries.

Target Rosette Ballet Flats (Rose) – $20.99

You would think as a person who writes a budget blog, I would be immune to impulse purchasing…WRONG!

A couple weeks ago, a friend and I journeyed to the Anza Borrego Desert. She had forgotten to pack closed toed shoes, so I told her that I would go pick some up for her at Target. I was only in the store for a total of 15 minutes, but I still managed to find something I could not live without – Rose colored ballet flats.

I guess this purchase wasn’t totally impulsive because I had been looking for a pair of ballet flats to pair with my black leggings. I was just not planning on purchasing them that day and I usually spend more than 5 minutes trying shoes on.

Thankfully, my quick decision making skills came through and I am totally happy with my new shoes. In addition to pairing well with leggings, these flats look cute with jeans and shirt dresses.
